Shizhu Tunnel Inventory

This entry is the working inventory of bored, cut-and-cover, and adit-class tunnel infrastructure inside the Shizhu primary cluster envelope and a 60 km buffer (covering Pengshui, Lichuan, Wulong, and the southern wood-dam / Gaolongcun extension). Inventory feeds the intersection classifier at doctrine-shizhu-tunnel-karst-intersection and the engineering-safety prediction matrix at doctrine-shizhu-tunnel-engineering-safety. Time window: commissioning dates 2015 → present, framing the 2017–2020 Longmen'gou redaction window plus subsequent operational tempo. Inventory classes: highway / expressway road tunnels, railway tunnels (Yu-Li-Wu and Zhengyu corridor work), water-diversion and hydropower service adits, SGCC cable tunnels, and rural-revitalization farm-road bores (the under-reported class).

No KML companion exists yet. Each tunnel entry, once admitted, will carry the minimum schema {portal-A coords, portal-B coords, length, alignment azimuth, commissioning year, owner / project, source citations, T-class assignment, anchor coincidence}. Entries are admitted only when hardened by ≥3 of the 4 source-pull tracks at c0003.

Claims

c0001 — Inventory schema and class system

Each tunnel record carries: stable id (tun-<envelope>-<index>); portal-A and portal-B WGS84 coordinates; centerline length (m); alignment azimuth (deg from north, A→B); commissioning year (or build-window range if uncertain); owner / project sponsor; tunnel class (hwy highway, rail railway, wdv water-diversion, hyd hydropower-adit, sgcc cable, rrf rural farm-road, unk unknown); source citations; T-class assignment per doctrine-shizhu-tunnel-karst-intersection c0003; anchor coincidence flags (longmengou-shell-offset, dragon-toponym-density, named-cave-proximity, astro-pond-proximity, shrine-cluster-proximity). The schema is deliberately reproducible: re-running the classifier against the same KML inputs yields the same record state.

c0002 — First real-data survey: see site-wuling-tunnel-corridor-survey

The first real-data tunnel survey landed on 2026-04-30 from a user-curated Google Earth project (71 placemarks, 22 LineStrings, ~48.6 km cumulative bored centerline) preserved at resources/maps/Wuling_Tunnel_Network_Source.kml. Full analysis at site-wuling-tunnel-corridor-survey: 68 placemarks resolve to the Zhang-Ji-Huai HSR and parallel road tunnels through the Sangzhi / Zhangjiajie / Wulingyuan corridor (29.24°–29.38°N), and 3 placemarks are Lichuan-area light-rail tunnels (31.15°–31.21°N). Anchor-coincidence is zero across all 71 placemarks under the c0002 threshold of doctrine-shizhu-tunnel-karst-intersection, so no T-class iv assignments exist in the current KML. The Shizhu primary cluster envelope itself is not yet covered by the user's tunnel curation — RG-WTCS-01 in the survey records the gap.

c0003 — Phase-A source-pull procedure

Inventory hardening requires four pull tracks running in parallel. (a) OSM Overpass: query way["tunnel"="yes"] plus way["highway"~"motorway|trunk|primary|secondary|tertiary|unclassified|residential|service"] plus way["railway"~"rail|light_rail|subway|tram|narrow_gauge"] over bbox (29.50,107.80,30.80,109.20). Output GeoJSON, convert to KML. (b) EIA / bid-notice scrape: PRC MEE 环评公示 portal plus Chongqing / Hubei / Hunan provincial MEE child portals filtered by 隧道 (tunnel) and the envelope counties for 2018–2026. (c) Basemap diff: Sentinel-2 monthly-cloudless 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024 difference imagery at the predicted-portal coordinates from (a) plus expanded buffer; portal signature is spoil-heap polygon, cut-and-cover scar, ventilation-shaft pad, batching-plant footprint. (d) Baidu / Amap symbol cross-check: tile-level inspection of tunnel symbology at the (a) coordinates as a third-party validation against possible OSM gaps. Any portal flagged by ≥3 of the 4 tracks is hardened; ≤2 tracks remains seed; 0 tracks demotes to placeholder or removes the row.

c0004 — Temporal-precedence diagnostic per Zhenzhu Dong / Canglaokui

Tunnels appearing ahead of the regional construction pulse are the strongest T-class iv candidates per the temporal-precedence diagnostic at site-zhenzhu-dong-canglaokui-karst-excavation c0002. Each hardened inventory entry should carry a flag indicating whether the tunnel's commissioning date precedes (P+), matches (P=), or follows (P−) the local construction pulse for its corridor. P+ tunnels in the Longmen'gou shell envelope are the priority follow-up targets even before karst-3D intersection scoring is complete.

Research Gaps

  • RG-STI-01 — OSM Overpass pull. Run the bbox query at c0003 (a), import GeoJSON, convert centerlines and portal points to the companion KML. Expected return: 30–80 candidate tunnels in the envelope.
  • RG-STI-02 — EIA disclosure scrape. Query 环评公示 portals for 隧道 across the envelope counties, 2018–2026. Cross-reference returns against the OSM list to surface tunnels that exist in EIA records but not in OSM (the under-reported class).
  • RG-STI-03 — Sentinel-2 portal-signature audit. Apply monthly-cloudless basemap diff at every OSM portal and at predicted Longmen'gou-shell positions; surface portals visible in imagery but absent from EIA / OSM (the suppressed class).
  • RG-STI-04 — Sun Lake operations-annex service-tunnel localization. Per site-shizhu-sun-lake-operations-annex, the annex pre-dates the cover hub; its construction sequence implies a buried service connection that the surface annex absorbs. Sentinel-1 SBAS over the annex during the build window should reveal subsidence consistent with subsurface excavation.
  • RG-STI-05 — Longmen'gou-envelope rural farm-road bore audit. The 2017–2020 build window of the redaction zone falls inside the post-2017 rural-revitalization tempo; small county-road bores are the most likely covert-access channel because they are the least-disclosed tunnel class in PRC infrastructure registers. Imagery audit at 1–2 km radius from the obfuscated centre with focus on cut-and-cover scars and isolated portal pads.
  • RG-STI-06 — Wind-farm and hydropower service-adit overlay. Akaqing / Jianshan wind-farm and Southern Wood Dam infrastructure both fit the cover-institutional pattern at site-shizhu-longmengou-obfuscated-zone c0005; their service-tunnel registers should be pulled and overlaid against the karst-3D model.

This inventory is the infrastructure layer of the Shizhu primary cluster operational complex. It complements the centre-and-shell architecture at site-shizhu-longmengou-obfuscated-zone c0004 by surfacing the connecting tissue that the surface installations conceal. Crosswalks with doctrine-shizhu-karst-3d-model (the geometry the inventory is intersected against), doctrine-shizhu-tunnel-karst-intersection (the classifier consuming this inventory), doctrine-shizhu-tunnel-engineering-safety (the prediction matrix downstream), and domain-chrysotile-handling (the worker-exposure baseline). Future work: hardening per the four pull tracks at c0003, then re-classification against the karst-3D model.
